Ice Maker Not Working — Repair in Tampa Bay
No ice, slow ice, hollow or tiny cubes, or a dispenser that quit. Ice makers fail in a handful of predictable ways, and most of them are fixed in one visit with parts we carry.
What we see most
- No ice at all
- Small, hollow or cloudy cubes
- Ice maker fills but won't drop ice
- Water dispenser works, ice doesn't (or the other way around)
- IF E / 1F / icemaker error codes
We check the water path first — inlet valve, water line (often frozen inside the door), filter — then the ice maker module itself, the freezer temperature and, on LG and Samsung, the dedicated ice-room fan that fails and throws the IF E code. Many “broken” ice makers are really a freezer running a few degrees warm or a clogged filter. We replace the valve, line, module or fan on the spot and quote before any work.
An ice maker that drips or over-fills can freeze into a block that cracks the tray — stop it at the first odd batch.
Honest pricing, local techs

Frequently asked questions
Why did my ice maker stop making ice?
Most often: a frozen or blocked water line, a failed inlet valve, a clogged filter, a freezer running warm, or the ice maker module itself. We test in that order.
What does the IF E code mean on an LG fridge?
The ice-maker fan failed — a known LG part. We replace the fan and ice is back the same day.
How much does ice maker repair cost?
$79 diagnostic, waived with the repair. Valves, lines and fans are modest parts; the exact price is approved before we start.
Can you replace the whole ice maker?
Yes, when the module is the problem — we carry replacements for the common Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE and Frigidaire units.
