Oven Not Heating? Repair Across Tampa Bay
The oven light comes on, the fan runs, and the dish is still raw an hour later. A no-heat oven is a short list of parts — and nearly always a one-visit fix.
What we see most
- Electric oven: bake element not glowing
- Gas oven: igniter glows but no flame, or no glow at all
- Preheats forever, never reaches temperature
- Broil works, bake doesn't (or the reverse)
- F1 / F3 / F10 codes
Electric ovens: the bake element (you can see it stop glowing), the broil element, the temperature sensor or the control relay. Gas ovens: the igniter is the usual suspect — it weakens with age, glows but never gets hot enough to open the gas valve, and the oven lights late or not at all. We carry elements, igniters and sensors for GE, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Samsung, LG and most others, and quote the exact price before any work.
A gas oven that takes longer and longer to light is an igniter on its last legs — replace it before it quits mid-roast.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my oven not heat up?
Electric: a burned-out bake element, a bad temperature sensor or a control relay. Gas: a weak igniter, a failed gas valve or the safety valve. We test the circuit and show you the failed part.
My oven heats but never gets to the set temperature — why?
Usually the temperature sensor or a weak element/igniter; on convection models the fan motor. Also a sign the door gasket is leaking heat.
How much does oven repair cost?
$79 diagnostic, waived with the repair. Elements and igniters are modest parts; the exact price is approved before we start.
Do you repair wall ovens and ranges?
Both, plus cooktops — gas and electric, from everyday brands to Thermador and Viking.
